My Thoughts, My Feelings

My Thoughts, My Feelings

Recently, I've read an article that stated some changes and/or issues in today's society. It talked about the influence of technology, power of the internet, greed for attention, and the way of life by publicizing. Here are just some of my thoughts and how I feel after reading the article.

Technology
First off, the improvement of technology has been outstanding. With everything a click of a button away and everything within a matter of seconds, we truly are the generation of gadgets. But is that all positive? As I was reading I starting questioning myself how much time I waste using an electronic device. The answer to that was disappointing. Then I asked myself how much time do I spend actually talking to someone. And the answer to that was even more disappointing. With more and more technology getting thrown in our faces, we forget to do natural activities, such as talking to one another.

Expressions
Music. Beautiful sounds that go we hear through our ears and feel with the heart. Music can bring people happiness, tears of joy, and excitement. We, as the crazy human beings that we are, have infinite ways of expressing who we are. But with music, many of us are able to connect and relate to one another. Listed above are five of my favorite songs that help me get through my day. I highly recommend you to listen to them and remember to tell me which one you liked the most.

Korean Pop Music (Kpop)
First off, these songs are important to me because they are my to go de-stress songs. They are able to express my feelings when I am happy, sad, or just simply having a bad day. Most of the songs, I heard over the radio, but being the weird person that I am, I like to surf on the internet for songs that are less known and/or that are sung in other languages. I guess you can say that it's a weird habit of mine. I'd like to think that I am an open minded person. With a mixture of different styles of songs ranging from, instrumental, pop, rap, to R&B and heart touching ballads, you name it, I’ll listen to almost anything. And with an open mind, I am willing to try new things that maybe considered to be out of the norm. Hopefully, they reflect that I am a warm welcoming person and a well-rounded individual, who is easy to approach and talk to. When listening to my playlist, you'll be able to learn that I enjoy other cultures and learning about them. Being Hmong and the weird person that I am, I guess, helped me grow an interest for learning what other exciting cultures are out there. On the other hand, however, something that you wouldn’t know about me is that I can speak in different languages. Hmong which is my first  and native language, English as my second, and Korean where I self-taught by listening to Korean music, watching Korean movies and other kinds of media.. Based off my playlist, many people, even you, might think that I am a very outgoing person, but in reality I love and adore the indoors. Staying cozy inside and not having to do much are my kind of days.
